How the directional range works
Best Sellers Rank is a changing relative rank, not a sales counter. This calculator uses separate Books and Kindle low/high benchmark anchors collected on June 21, 2026. Values between anchors are interpolated, while ranks at 150,000 and above are shown only as a censored fewer-than result.

Why can I choose Books or Kindle?
The collected benchmark ranges differ by rank format, so the calculator keeps their anchor sets separate.
Why is the result a range?
Rank changes over time and does not reveal category effects, promotions, returns, ads, format mix, or Kindle Unlimited reads. A range is more honest than one precise-looking number.
What happens at high BSR values?
At BSR 150,000 or higher, the source benchmark is censored. The tool reports fewer than 30 estimated monthly sales instead of inventing a precise range.
Does the tool scrape Amazon or another service?
No. You enter the rank manually and the calculation runs locally in your browser.
